Hipsters and Hugs

Ooo what fun it is to be uptown on a chilly thursday night in DC. While all the other club boys try not to spend all their rent money on drinks,the lil ladies freeze their assets off waiting in lines outside the new york avenue club strip. As for me,I'd rather be in a lounge setting where all can mingle and like minds meet. The opening night for KICKBALLER'S and MASON JAR'S "SAY WHAAAT" art expo was a great success. All the custom detailed and painted toys came out awesome. All the items after this weekend will be auctioned off on an ebay store,with all proceeds going to the DC FOOD BANK. There was plenty in attendance last night which made it fun. Shouts to my new buddy Lauren. The fellas from GRAND HIGH came through,along with DJ OSO FRESH and TITSWORTH spining all night. From the uptown law school hipsters to the south side sneakerheads,the collective of people was wonderful. I also finally got to get up with my super model,soon to be DC magazine exec friend Elle. We gets sooo crazy! The afterparty was nextdoor at MODERN,were we all really got it in. Bottles poppin',B boys breakin and the grown and sexy doing their thing. If you can,get onto the RSVP list and go checkout the artwork before the weekend is over. Who knew so much fun could turn into a helping hand for others. NYC/Philly,here I come. Fresher than fallen snow

So, how bout the big snow storm warning for the east coast this weekend. the same freakin weekend im headin to NYC and Philly!!! WTF! All i know is,if i get snowed in friday night while at the 40/40 club,.....Rihanna look out baby! Guess ill play it by ear but i gotta hit the road regardless. Got meetings to go to,and new folks to connect with. Since ill be on the scene all weekend,i thought i should grab some new sh*t so i could show off with the rest of 'em. I called up my big homie Deinde, one of the founders of DOPEVILLE,and got an invite to their private showroom in MD. only could take few pics,alot of their stuff hasnt hit the market yet.the other founder my man O, walked me through their new collection of tees,sneakers, skate decks and hoodies. talk about a kid in a candy shop! These guys have been grindin' since ' 04 straight out of D.C. they've killed it at Magic in Las Vegas and have items available at MAJOR in DC, GREYONE in LA and other boutiques worldwide.O explained to me how the business can have its good and bad though."alot of these artist and label guys really think we're gonna just send them free sh*t everytime they want some new items. i get calls 24/7 from big artist that brag about spendin cash,but want our hoodies for free". damn,guess even though folks talk about spendin bread,some people dont want to break bread. either way, these dudes have some of the ssiiicckkkiest street wear available.Hit up the site for more info and to get you some freshnessnessness. if you tryna get their exclusive new sh*t, like my Lil Champ hoodie that doesnt drop till '08,you better know somebody. later tonight is the art expo at KICKBALLERS. il getacha when i getacha.
